Growing Information

For exhibition sow January-February under glass at 18-21°C (65-70°F). For general purpose sow March-April outdoors in prepared seedbed for use from October to April according to variety. (30-32 weeks maturity).

Sowing Information

Sow thinly into finely raked, warm, moist soil at a depth of 1.3cm (½") in rows about 30cm (12") apart (germination 6-18 days). Thin or transplant seedlings to 25cm (10") between plants. Lettuce grows best in a well-cultivated soil in a sunny position. Water freely during dry spells of weather.
